So for the record, I will be taking an online college course this summer, but I don't know yet if I will be teaching full-time in the fall. It will probably be a while before we know for sure. My director exercised her faith and began an addition to increase the size of my classroom. The concrete was poured today. Carpenters come tomorrow. The classroom needs to be fully prepared for inspection the second week of June when I'm at Girl's Camp. Lots to do in the mean time!
As for the accident, I was driving in front of the First Baptist Church on Main St. when a deer ran into my driver's door. I know I live in a rural community, but this is not normal! My door needs $1600 worth of work done so that it will open and close. I am climbing across the passenger seat now. Luckily the window didn't break, no airbags went off, and the sliding door wasn't damaged. The poor doe broke its neck though and ended up in the back of a garbage truck. I saw the garbage trucker driver about an hour later. I was greeted with, "So I hear you bin deer huntin'!" I got that from a few people today actually. I'm sure I will hear it a several more times before the week is through.

I had a deer jump in front of my car back in Vermont. It was like hitting a rock, I was very suprised at how solid it was. Mine just spun around and ran back into the woods.
Suck to hear about your door though. Love ya Jess.
Wow, I haven't read your blog in a while; I've missed alot. Congrats on going back to school! I'll probably go back myself when Adam is older, and actually what is funny is that I have a degree in Child Dev. but now I know I don't want to work in that. Oh well. Don't feel to bad about the deer; my Dad hit a horse once. You know, horses are pretty big, so that's really kind of embarrassing. At least no one asked you if you wanted to put the deer in the freezer. I knew a girl in college that was actually asked that.
Wow Jess. I am so glad that you are okay!
Good luck in school. I think you are awesome for finishing!
Such a cute family, Jess! I just became a momma 12 days ago and am trying out this whole blogging thing. Wish me luck! xo~ Camilla
